In this site you find the basic information about us and details of our programmes at AoM annual events. Details of the CMS programme for the 2012 AoM meeting, competitions and workshop are available. Worldwide financial markets on the brink. People in the streets, from Moscow to Damascus, Oakland to London, Bangkok to Kinshasa. Climate change stalemate. Peril and opportunity everywhere. Where are we going? What can be done? What can CMS contribute?

Make critical voices heard at the Academy of Management! Submit to the Critical Management Studies Division @ AOM 2012.

The deadline for submissions to be considered for the CMS @ AOM 2012 is fast approaching (January 10, 2012, 5:00 PM EST). See the Call for Submissions: "The Informal Economy". Our Professional Development Workshop Chair, Raza Mir and Scholarly Program Chairs Gavin Jack and Jan Schapper have created wonderfully provocative and engaging riffs on the Academy theme (see pages 14 and 52 of the program, respectively). With your contributions the PDW and paper programs will be interesting and useful opportunities to learn from each other.

Our Program Chair, Alex Faria is working to schedule thought-provoking keynote speakers.

Also, we are hoping to be organized the biannual pre-Meetings CMS Workshop that was such a success in Los Angeles and Montreal. Please keep an eye out for more information about that (remember: submissions to the Workshop can also be submitted to AOM).

Finally, as at past Meetings, members of the Executive Committee and others are also organizing ways for participants to connect with people doing critically-grounded organizing, managing and activism in Boston and are eager to have others collaborate with us on this effort (A CALL FOR HELP).

I HOPE YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE AND JOIN US IN BOSTON!

Respectfully,
Sarah Stookey

THANK YOU!
